Cheerleading tryouts for JV and Varsity for Jordan-Matthews High School will be July 7-10 in the JM gym at the following times:
July 7: 9am-12pm
July 9: 9am-12pm
July 10: 12pm-2pm
*Dark shorts, white shirt, and athletic shoes
*Sports physical and academic eligibility required in order to try out

For the morning class: If your birthday is AFTER 06-02-2000, you will NOT be able to be in the June class.
For the afternoon class: If your birthday is AFTER 06-12-2000, you will NOT be able to be in the June class.
For students that are too young for the June classes, there will be another classroom session offered in August.
Students who took online CCCC courses should turn in their textbooks to Mr. Heesacker in room 101 by Friday, June 5th.
Students who registered for CCCC classes next fall have to fill out an application and return it to Mr. Heesacker in room 101. This includes online courses and seated classes such as automotive technology, criminal justice, or welding.
Reminder: All students complete a summer reading assignment, regardless of class level. Students in CP sections can choose a book based on their personal interests; students in honors sections read the same books:
Honors Freshman English: To Kill A Mockingbird
Honors Sophomore English: The Alechemist
Honors Junior English: The Joy Luck Club
Honors Senior English: The Taming of the Shrew
Students may not check out summer reading until all other library items are returned or paid for.
July 11: All football players (including rising 9th graders) and any other athletes who play only one sport.
July 18: All rising 9th graders EXCEPT those playing football and all athletes who intend to play multiple sports.

Nicks was also honored with the Clifton C. Belcher Professional Division Award for outstanding leadership, guidance and meritorious service.
