10th grade parent night-POSTPONED
The 10th grade parent night scheduled for tonight, September 16 has been postponed until Thursday, October 2.  The meeting will be in the library from 6 until 7 pm. Information on the 10th grade trip to Washington, DC; Summer Ventures; HOBY; NC School of Science & Mathematics; Career & College Promise; upcoming state tests; graduation requirements and other educational opportunities will be shared.

PSAT registration
PSAT registration will close on Thursday, September 25 at 3:30 p.m.  Limited space remains.  Any juniors taking the PSAT to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship should pay the $14 fee to Ms. Myles in the main office by this time in order to reserve a seat. All sophomores are automatically registered this year for free based on state funding. 
Parent Portal to View Student Grades Now Open
Parents and guardians: Our grade book portal is now open for you to check your child's grades. If your child went to JM last year, and you created an account, that account should still work. If your child did not attend JM last year, you will need to create a new account. Here is the link to the directions for creating that account.
 
To create the account, you will need your child's Access ID and Access password. You must pick this up ​in person, and you must have identification. Our interpreter, Mrs. Tobar, will have these information sheets, and she will verify parents' ID information. We cannot give this information over the telephone or send it home with students.
Get your ACT/SAT Fee Waiver Today!
You qualify for a ACT/SAT fee Waiver if:
1.You qualify for Free and Reduced lunch
2.You are an AVID or Upward Bound student
3.You have extenuating circumstances with a financial situation at home
**Fee waiver request must be submitted to Mrs. Hanner in the counseling office with a minimum of 24 hours notice!!!

 Would you like to perform in public and be part of a J-M Dance Event?" The World Language Club is looking for some Lady Jets who would like to participate in a Cumbia performance at the Hispanic Heritage night celebration here at our school. All interested girls should plan on attending our first practice!

Drivers Education
It is time to register for the fall driver education class.  You must be at least 15 years old by March 22, 2015.  Registration closes on Sept. 18, 2014.  If you don't preregister you will NOT be able to take the course!!  Class will begin on September 22(Monday) in the auditorium.  Last day will be Oct. 9th.  Class begins at 3:30. Required supplies for class: Laptop, 3 ring binder, pen and pencil.

Parking Passes for 2014-15 Now Available
Students may now purchase parking passes for 2014-15. Passes are $15, and students must have the following information: License number, license plate number, color, make and year of the vehicle. See Mrs. Tobar in the front office Monday-Thursday. All students must have a pass to park on campus, and if you lose you tag, you must purchase another one.
